Make Extra Money Online and Have Fun Doing It

So, you want to make some extra money in your spare time, but you don’t want to work at a fast food joint slinging burgers. You want to make extra money online.

With today’s technology, it’s easier than ever to make money from home because there are so many ways through the Internet. Like anything, some are better than others and even the best ways have some disadvantages.

Here is a small list of some of the ways people are making money online:

---Paid surveys. When most people hear that they can get paid filling out surveys, they are perhaps a bit skeptical. Yes, you can make money filling out surveys, but many people who are doing this are having more fun than making money. Some of the best surveys take up to an hour to fill out and pay perhaps $10.

If you’ve got nothing better to do, it’s something you can do while watching TV at night or if you have some free time at lunch. Many survey sites are free to sign up with and are one hundred percent legitimate.

One downside of filling out surveys is that you must meet the exact demographic the company is looking for else you’ll get bumped out of the survey and not make a dime. Some survey sites operate much like multi-level marketing programs, in which you recommend others to the site then receive a commission when your recruit successfully fills out a survey.

---Gifting programs. These have been controversial in the past, and will likely continue to be, but many people swear by them. Gifting is basically a pyramid scheme in which you send people money and then they find people to send you money. In general, how much money the gifter sends in and how many people they recruit, determines where they are placed on the money-making organizational chart. These gift clubs can become popular because, at least initially, the participants do receive significant amounts of money.

Be forewarned, though. Some states consider such activity illegal and the Better Business Bureau has issued warnings about some of these programs.

---Blogging for cash and other freelance work. The web is filled with many paid writing jobs, including blogging. For the most part, you can write about any subject you feel comfortable writing about and will get paid between $1 and $5 per blog depending on the site. It may not seem like a lot, but most blogs are short, require little or no research and can be written in about ten minutes. The faster you write, the more money you can make. Certainly, you won’t get rich, but you could earn a few extra dollars a week to pay for that dinner out.

---E-bay, Craigslist, etc. A whole community of people exists who sell items on eBay and Craigslist. Some people spend weekends at yard sales, then Monday listing everything they bought online. Best selling items? Designer items such as, handbags and clothing, baby items in good condition, furniture and musical instruments. Using these sites, particularly Craigslist, comes with some inherent risk, so it’s a good idea to use extreme caution when dealing directly with people you do not know.

Chances are you won’t get rich with any of these, but you will make some extra cash and just might have some fun doing it.
